Service Description: To carry out the work outlined in The Statement of Prime Purpose, the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) has established a province wide infastructure to deliver programs and services for Métis people in Ontario in the areas of Economic Development; Education and Training; Healing and Wellness; Housing and Infrastructure; Intergovernmental Relations; Lands, Resources, and Consultation; and Citizenship and Harvesting. Through its many branches the MNO employs over 200 people located in communities across Ontario.

Please note that all Citizenship and Harvester inquires should go to the MNO Registry Branch of the Ottawa office. The toll free number for the Registry is 1-855-798-1006



Fees: No fee for service *membership not required for any Healing and Wellness Services
Application: No referral required * application form and instructions on website * citizenship requires documentation of historic Métis ancestry, which then becomes part of the centralized registry * veteran membership requires additional forms and documentation of military service
Eligibility / Target Population: People who self-identify as Métis, are not enrolled in any other Aboriginal registry, and are of historic Métis ancestry or reside in Métis communities
