Child protection services * provides help to children and youth experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, abuse * investigates allegations of abuse and neglect under the Child and Family Services Act * provides temporary or long-term care or supervision for children who come under their care * aims to promote the best interests, protection and well-being of children and youth, and safeguard them from abuse and neglect
