Position:  Manager, Strategic Sourcing

Region:  Chatham – Kent

Description:  POSITION SUMMARY:
TransForm is seeking a positive and energetic leader that thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for operational excellence.
The Manager, Strategic Sourcing works collaboratively with TransForm customers and partners to establish the overall contracting and sourcing plan for TransForm, with a goal of providing maximum value to the membership. The Manager provides leadership and direction to the strategic sourcing team in the development and management of sourcing activities, contract planning, competitive procurement activities and employee development. This role acts in the capacity of advisor to customers, providing recommendations related to procurement strategies and risk mitigation.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sourcing and Contract Management:
• Collaborates with customers and employees to develop strategic contract work plan and refreshes plan annually. Establishes priorities based on value proposition, risk and customer priorities.
• Establishes a capital procurement process and framework that supports customers in the procurement of capital expenditures while maximizing value and leveraging volumes across the region.
• Manages and leads staff through all sourcing activities including RFx development, analysis, negotiations and awarding of contract, service contract management
• Ensures leading practices are implemented and followed to promote efficient and effective operations within the strategic sourcing team
• Provides guidance and direction to the team related to applicable legislative requirements including the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive and Trade Legislation.

Provide Leadership and Coaching:
• Provides training to employees related to departmental standard operating procedures, promoting the delivery of service excellence to customers.
• Acts as a facilitator and coach to staff, providing guidance with customer relationship management and operational expertise.
• Promote a culture of professional growth and development within the team, establishing and monitoring team and individual goals and objectives.

Customer & Vendor Relationship Management:
• Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote a positive and collaborative work environment, building trust and fostering strong customer relationships.
• Provides advice, recommendations, risk assessments related to competitive procurement activities and contract management.
• Implements processes to foster strong working relationships between suppliers and end users.
• Engages with internal stakeholders in planning activities related to contracts and competitive procurements to ensure alignment of workflow across the organization.
• Implements, monitors and tracks Key Performance Indicators within the strategic sourcing team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or business; or an equivalent level of education, training and experience.
• Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation an asset.
• Proven leader with 5+ years in Supply Chain, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Project management experience an asset.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Thorough understanding of the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive and procurement legislation.
• Strong strategic thinking skills, organizational and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
• Technical proficiency in using MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

• Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines

OTHER CONDITIONS:
• Must be available to perform other duties as assigned
• Must meet the benchmarked standards and requirements of the job
• Must follow all company practices, policies and procedures
• Must be able to travel within the Erie St Clair area when required using a reliable vehicle
• Must be available to work after hours on occasion


Salary:  To be negotiated

Terms of Employment:  Full-Time
