Life skill training; guidance to develop women's economic independence through education and support groups; support counseling for economic, social and family issues; basic computer skills; resume/cover letter; pre-employment skills; job search techniques; interview techniques; assertiveness training; stress management; housing issues; women's health and safety; introductions to the internet and e-mail; communication skills; basic referrals

Employment Assistance Service - Specialize in one-on-one employment counseling; offers guidance to foreign trained professionals and tradespeople for certification processes; subject based job search workshop; individually tailored return to work plan; provides skills assessment; job search support and group activities; cover letters; professional resumes; mock interview workshop; open discussions with local employers; job placement; program referrals for training; job maintenance and employment law workshop; Internet training for job search and resume emailing; drop-in access to computers, internet, printer, fax and phones; job board including postings; WHMIS training Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

LINC - Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada Year- round integrated language instruction for newcomers to Canada; focus on daily survival needs and basic communication skills for social and cultural integration into Canadian society; emphasis on reading and writing skills; use of computer software for listening, pronunciation, spelling and grammar

LINC 1: Mon-Thu 12:00pm - 2:30pm

LINC 2: Mon-Thu 9am-11:30am - the literacy classes lays the foundation to introduce the ESL Learner to English language; basic literacy followed by intermediate and advanced level assist the ESL student to successfully enter LINC-1 program; unique features of this program are immediate integration of the basic language skills; listening, speaking and writing

Women's Circle A group support activity to reach out to isolated immigrant and visible minority women; activities include crafts and conversational English; child care available * Fri noon-1:45pm


Mental Wellness Services - Offering one on one, family and group supports regarding mental wellness and integration to Canada * Service can be offered across the region, including Windsor, Leamington and Chatham in a variety of languages * Interpretation may also be available upon request * Session and workshop focus can vary but include navigating stress related to settlement, communication, emotional regulation and challenges related to migration * Workshops are also available for agencies and include topics such as migration and mental health and navigating newcomer service provision in health settings * Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, evening and weekend services are available upon request

Fees: Annual fee of $30
Application: Not required. Walk in Centre.
Waiting Period: No waiting. Initial walk in will be serviced and appointments will be taken for employment counselling sessions.
