Service Description: Promoting youth, family and community health through service, community education and advocacy. The centre is staffed with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, counsellors, a psychologist, dieticians, health promotion and outreach workers.

Primary health care including medical and counselling for youth ages 12 - 24.

Helping young people break free of harmful habits and behaviours, not just for clients in crisis. Through education and information, valuable life skills are shared that every person approaching adulthood should know.

  • self-esteem workshops
  • smoking cessation programs
  • substance abuse counselling for individuals and families

  • homeless street health program

There are also satellite offices in Leamington, Kingsville, LaSalle, Amherstburg, Belle River, Essex and Tecumseh.

Application: Waiting Period: Varies depending upon the program or service. Usually 4 to 6 weeks waiting period.
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Youth between the ages of 12 and 24. Assisting adolescents, youth, homeless and individuals at risk of being homeless.
Diabetes in Action offers education regarding self managment of Type 1 diabetes (individual and group) and Type 2 diabetes (individual)
