Service Description: 224-bed long-term care home * residential care for 56 private rooms, 76 semi-private rooms, and 90 basic rooms * 24-hour nursing and personal care * access to a doctor and other health professionals * two short-stay (respite) beds

LEVEL OF CARE: Long Term Care Facility providing medium and heavy care.
Medium Care: May be able to manage some activities but requires assistance and supervision with activities of daily living; may require cueing or supervision; requires assistance with provision of basic needs, i.e. medications, nutrition, hygiene, housekeeping, mobility, etc.
Heavy Care: Requires total care with most or all activities of daily living, with complex care nursing needs and/or behavioural management difficulties.

SPECIAL UNITS: One secured area of 32 residents with dementia that may be at risk of wandering

BATHROOM TYPES: Shared by 2 Residents; Private Room - Private Bathroom


TOUR FREQUENCY: Upon request, call ahead for appointment between 8:30am-4:30pm


FACILITY SECURITY TYPE: Secured Unit and a Watchmate system at the main exits

RESIDENT CARE SERVICES: Assistance with activities of daily living, Oxygen (concentrator), Inhalation therapy, Suctioning, Dressing (aseptic, sterile), Skin and Wound Care, Drain care, Ostomy care, Catheter care (Indwelling, Supra public, Intermittent, Irrigation), Palliative care, Intermittent subcutaneous injection, IM Medications, Tube feeding, Tracheotomy care, Peg Care

FACILITY INFIRMARY: In a residents' room if required

FACILITY LIFESTYLE - Cocktail lounge, Pet visitation, Pastoral/spiritual Care, Activities, Bus Trips, Entertainment, Volunteer Program, Craft Room

FURNITURE POLICY: Use facility beds and furniture.

MEAL PLAN / SERVICE TYPES: 7 Central dining areas, nutrition breaks (snacks) provided, special diets.

PHYSICIAN VISIT FREQUENCY: 4 days a week on site visits and as required. 24/7 on call.

RESTRAINT METHOD: Least restraint policy with Doctors order 

  • Family pets can visit (must have updated vaccinations)
  • Pet therapy is available
